A lost game of hide and seek with smart mosquitoes

After arriving and settling in my new apartment, I went to bed exhausted. As soon as I switched the lights off, the buzz that seemed too familiar, the hissing of mosquitoes, started. I tried to sleep in vain. Suddenly, I felt that I was surrounded with an aura of little creatures flying on top of my face. I switched the lights on to see the source of those irritating noises. I searched everywhere but there was nothing in the room. The mosquitoes hid somewhere out of my sight. I switched the lights off and went back to bed. I spent most of my first night playing hide and seek with smart mosquitoes that were determined to have my blood for a late night snack. Finally, I gave up and let them have their way with my blood. I got up next morning restless and agitated. I was horrified to discover that my skin with covered with red spots, the size of a lentil. I realized that I was bitten by mosquitoes during my sleep. I smiled in despair thinking that they had a sumptuous meal. I was determined to do whatever possible to get rid of them. On my way home from shopping for a repellent, I discovered that I was accompanied by an army of hungry mosquitoes. Every member of them gathered to feast on my blood. I tried to drive them away with gestures and sounds but they were adamant to follow me to my apartment. I looked around me to see why they singled me out for an attack. Seeing that I was chubbiest person around with blood full of cholesterol and fat, I didn’t blame them. As I entered my building, I saw some mosquitoes. I used my hands to scare them off. When I closed the door behind me, some succeeded to enter my apartment. They started to fly in a dance of victory to aggravate me, which prompted me to take a towel and hunt them down uniting them with their deceased relatives. After my breakfast, I decided to go for a walk to shed some of the excess weight I was carrying around my waist. I stepped out of the building door to find a wave of mosquitoes waiting for me. It appeared that they were there to avenge their dead relatives. I was tempted to return back to the safe haven of my apartment but I went on with my walk. They followed me. I used a newspaper to whoosh them away. When I returned home, I discovered that I had some mosquitoes’ bites. Despite its horrible smell I sprayed the repellent allover my apartment hoping that it would kill them. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. I spent another sleepless night attempting to avoid being bitten by the surviving mosquitoes. Next morning, I went shopping for several repellents. I went to bed early suffering from extreme fatigue. I was devastated to discover hat Chinese mosquitoes had acquired immunity and resistance to all repellents. They started buzzing as soon as I switched the lights off. After few nights of trying to get rid of them, I came to the conclusion that trying to fight them was a lost cause. I needed to find another means to live with them. I discovered that I can live with sharing my blood with them but I couldn’t stand the hissing noises. To block the noise, I inserted some cotton in my ears to block the noise and went to sleep. I whispered to them in desperation that they could share my bed and have some of my blood. However, they should be gentle and generous enough to use my blood wisely.
